![]() ![]() When you have 2k income, 75g for a Skeleton might be something to mull over, but once you have 100k+ income, and that point can come very quickly, it's basically nothing. This game lacks lategame economy scaling and therefore everything becomes way cheaper than it has any right to be anyway. I now gotta' question.why upkeep reductions at all? That way if you have 10 stacks of skeletons rather than 10 stacks of zombies, the difference would be fairly significant Skeletons would cost 15g as you said which isn’t much, but having let’s say 15 of them in your army would cost 225, and that’s before supply lines. What I meant was you could have the skill line give free upkeep for zombies and 80% off for skeletons. They wouldn't fare any better if they were free either because they occupy slots that might be taken by more effective units. TWWH's lack of lategame economy scaling simply makes them too cost-ineffective even with that absolute pittance of a price. You phase out Skavenslaves very quickly anyway. Even with legendary supply lines penalties, that's ultra cheap (and you can lower it with research and skills). So that's a no then.ġ5g is BTW the upkeep of vanilla Skavenslaves. 80% reduction would reduce them to 15g upkeep, so cheaper than zombies. Enough that they’re worth spamming over grave guard but not so much that it’s cost less taking them over zombies □♂️ Skeletons should have an ~80% cost reduction. Relating it to the Skaven was rather an afterthought from a lorewise perspective, as both the undead and the rats always vastly outnumber their opponents but that 9/10ths of their troops are terrible 1 v 1. I gathered that the SL feature was being reviewed but haven't seen any firm commitment about specifics so my idea sprang from that context. It simply occurs that after the early game it's often more cost-effective to replace your zombies with grave guard than to run additional mixed armies due to Supply Lines. I agree zombies aren't bad at all, you simply have to play to their strengths. It's to be seen what they'll replace it with. VCounts are not in any way a weak faction that needs such ridiculously overblown buffs.Īccording to CA devs, supply lines will be removed in the future. And they even have a chance to come back after you win a battle and you can immediately replace them with Raise Dead.įrankly, neither zombies nor skeletons should be free. Their loose formation makes them also excellent charge breakers (although that's because CA effed up). Since they don't run away and are immune to psychology, they're one of the best tarpits there is. This could also be applied to Skaven and Skaven slaves. Or alternatively for every X number of zombie units across your armies. You could then replace the zombie tech by -1 to Supply Lines for every army containing only zombie units. Zombies should have no upkeep baseline and skeletons should have free upkeep as a research. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.847 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai. ![]()
